The electric ventilation flat glass rooflight opens up to approximately 300mm by way of concealed hinges and can provide rapid ventilation into the property.

The Trade Skylight centre pane achieves the exceptional U-Value of 1.1 W/m2K which exceeds the current requirements for Part L Building Regulations due to the outstanding thermal efficiency of the double-glazed units.

Unlike many other roof windows on the market, the Trade Skylight benefits from a laminated inner pane which provides safety to anyone beneath the rooflight, thus minimising the risk of glass falling into the space below in the unlikely event that either glass pane should break.

The slimline thermally broken full aluminium frame of the Trade Skylight comes finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey internally and externally thus ensuring maximum light can enter into the room via the Rooflight compared with other skylights with chunkier and bulky frames.  The Trade Skylight range are manufactured to ISO 9001 industry standards.

The double-glazed glass panel is made up of: 6mm toughened outer, a 90% argon filled cavity, with a 6.4mm laminated soft coat Low E inner (overall thickness of 32.4mm). Please note that for larger sizes of roof window, the inner pane thickness is increased to 8.8mm, 9.5mm or 11.5mm.

Due to the design of the Trade Skylight range, the rooflights are suitable for flat roof applications with a pitch of 2 to 15 degrees to prevent water ponding onto the glass leading to rapid dirt build up (as a guide, 2 degrees is currently the typical 'flat roof' in the UK).

The glazing units used within the Trade Skylight range achieve a direct airborne sound insulation value of 37db (Rw).

As with all rooflights, ventilation can help reduce humidity and the risk of condensation.  We therefore highly recommend the addition of Trickle Vents, especially if the skylight is to be installed in any area of high humidity such as a kitchen or bathroom.  The Trickle Vents are only available where the PVC Kerb option is required.
